Mayor Wayne Wright drops the ball at Queens Park Arena for the first
home game of the Royal City Capitals Senior Lacrosse Team. Rob Glancey of
the Burnaby Burrards and Nick Jones of the Royal City Capitals face off on
the " million dollar" oak floor installed a few years ago for the many
lacrosse teams that play out of Queens Park Arena. New Westminster is also
home to the Lacrosse Hall of Fame and the city is known for producing many
past, present and future stars in the native national sport of lacrosse.
Often referred to as the "fastest team sport on two feet" it is both fast
and physical.
