The Royal City Capitals' season is over after being swept in the best-of-3 quarter-finals by the Nanaimo Timbermen. The Capitals opened the post season with a 14-7 loss to the Timbermen Thursday evening in Nanaimo. The Capitals trailed 6-0 heading into the first intermission and never recovered, getting outshot 53-39 on the night. Mark Negrin was the top scorer, picking up 3 goals and 1 assist, while Lee Jackman stopped 39 shots in net. The next evening on home floor, despite outshooting Nanaimo 53-34, the Caps came up on the short end of a 9-2 decision. Kerry Susheski (1G, 1A) led scoring, while Joe Bell took the loss in goal, stopping 25 shots.

The Capitals are now off until the 2020 season and would like to thank its fans and sponsors for their continued support.
