Week 4 Wrap-Up
Week 4 of the 2025 WCSLA regular season featured 6 matches.
Coquitlam squared off with the Salmonbellies at Queen's Park Arena Wednesday evening, and left with a 12-6 win. The Bandits never trailed and outshot New West 60-54, with Tristan Lomas making 48 saves for his 2nd win of 2025. Luke Turenne (2G, 3A) led scoring.
Thursday night at Ladner Leisure Centre, reigning champion Pioneers hosted North Shore and remained undefeated with a 9-2 victory. Dylan Lacroix (1G, 2A) led scoring while Alex Buque stopped 36 of 38 shots for his 4th win.
New Westminster visited the Indians Friday night at Harry Jerome Rec Centre and picked up its first point of the season by way of a 7-7 overtime draw. North Shore's Lucas Dancs led scoring (1G, 2A) with New West's Liam Froese stopping 50 of 57 shots in net.
Saturday afternoon, the 'Bellies (0-6-1) met the Timbermen (4-2) at the Nanaimo Ice Centre and dropped a 14-7 decision. The hosts jumped out to a 7-0 lead and never looked back, led by Andrew Miller (3G, 2A) and Jake Colley (31 saves on 38 shots).
Sunday afternoon at The Q Centre, the Shamrocks (5-1) handed Ladner (5-1) its first loss of the season by the score of 9-6. Victoria never trailed in the contest, with Liam Phillips leading the attack with 3 goals and 2 assists. Adam Bland stopped 45 of 51 shots for his second win of 2025. The week ended with the Bandits (4-4) defeating the Indians (1-5-1) at Poirier Sport & Leisure Complex 9-3. Erik Forsselius was the top scorer (2G, 3A) with Connor Nichols having a huge night between the pipes stopping 51 of 54 shots.
After four weeks of play, Victoria's Rylee Marsh leads with 30 points and 26 assists, with Victoria's Jackson Boyd leading with 16 goals. Ladner's Alex Buque leads in save percentage (0.886) and goals against average (5.25).
