Week 6 Wrap-Up
Week 6 of the 2025 WCSLA regular season features 5 matches.
Thursday night at Ladner Leisure Centre, reigning champion Pioneers hosted the Salmonbellies and came out on top of a 16-5 decision. Spencer Bromley (3G, 3A) led scoring and Alex Buque returned to the net and stopped 28 of 32 shots.
Saturday afternoon, the Bandits met the red hot Timbermen (7-2) at the Nanaimo Ice Centre and the hosts prevailed 6-4. Nanaimo's Darrin Wilson (1G, 3A) led scoring with Jake Colley stopping 40 of 44 shots. Also Saturday, the Shamrocks were upset by the Indians (3-5-1) at Harry Jerome Community Rec Centre by the score of 10-6. Austin Robinson (2G, 3A) was the top scorer while Lee Jackman stopped 51 of 57 shots in the North Shore net.
Sunday afternoon at The Q Centre, New Westminster (0-10-1) visited Victoria (7-2) and got pounded 18-5. Rylee Marsh (3G, 4A) and Jackson Boyd (2G, 5A) led scoring with Adam Bland and Colin Jeffrey combining to stop 27 of 32 shots. Ladner (8-2) regained top spot in the standings with a 10-4 over Coquitlam (4-8) at the Poirier Sport & Leisure Complex to close out the week. Bromley (2G, 3A) led scoring with Buque having a huge game in net stopping 57 of 61 shots.
After six weeks of play, Victoria's Rylee Marsh leads with 35 assists and 42 points, while Victoria's Jackson Boyd leads with 24 goals. Ladner's Alex Buque continues to lead in save percentage (0.895) and goals against average (5.11).
