Bring on the Finals!

The first 3 games of the 2025 WCSLA Finals have been set!

Game 1 of the best-of-5 final between current provincial and league champion Ladner Pioneers and rival Victoria Shamrocks took place Saturday afternoon at the Ladner Leisure Centre, with the hosts coming away with a 10-2 victory. Ladner never trailed in the match and outshot Victoria 63-43, with Alex Buque having a huge game stopping 41 shots. Keegan Bell (2G, 1A), Coady Adamson (2G, 1A) and James Baker (1G, 2A) led all scorers.

The Shamrocks led 2-1 after 20 minutes and outshot the Pioneers 54-41 but could not close the deal in a 7-6 loss at The Q Centre Sunday. Victoria’s Rylee Marsh led scoring with 3 goals and 1 assist, while Ladner’s Buque turned aside 48 of 54 shots for the win.

The Pioneers hope to close out the series with a sweep 5:00pm, Saturday August 9th back at the Ladner Leisure Centre. Games 4 and 5, if needed, will be posted shortly.
