Del Bianco Shines as Pioneers Win Again

Despite being outshot 48-44, the Ladner Pioneers improved to 3-0 after an 8-3 win over the Six Nations Rivermen Tuesday at the Presidents Cup in Oakville, ON. Christian Del Bianco was solid between the pipes, stopping 94% of his shots faced and picking up one assist. Ladner led 2-0 and 5-2 heading into the intermissions, with Ryan Benesch scoring his first of two goals 2 minutes into the second period which proved to be the game winner. Tyler Pace (1G, 3A) lead scorers, with Ryan Keith, Jakob Doucet, Mike Mallory, Spencer Bromley and Phil Caputo also picking up goals.

Next up for the Pioneers are the 0-4 Tuscarora Tomahawks of the Can-Am League Wednesday morning.
