Pioneers at 2025 Presidents Cup

The Ladner Pioneers are hoping to four-peat at the 2025 Presidents Cup National Senior B Lacrosse tournament in Whitby, Ontario.

They opened the round-robin with an 11-5 win over the Winnipeg Blizzard Sunday August 24. Ladner led 4-0 and 10-1 after 20 and 40 minutes respectively. Erik Forsselius led scoring with 4 goals and 2 assists, with Alex Buque stopping 16 of 21 shots in net. Tuesday evening, despite leading 4-3 heading into the first intermission, the Pioneers dropped a 9-7 decision to the host Brooklin Merchants. Keegan Bell had 4 goals and 1 assists, and Buque stopped 46 of 55 shots in the loss.

Next up are the Allegany Arrows Tuesday afternoon.
