Pioneers Reach Semis at Presidents Cup

The Ladner Pioneers have been representing BC at the 2022 Presidents Cup in Edmonton August 28 - September 2. The boys got off to a great start, defeating the Edmonton Mounties 12-9. Next victim was the Six Nations Rivermen, representing Ontario, 9-6 on Day 2. The win streak continued on Day 3 with a 14-4 decision over the Capital Region Axemen, representing Quebec, 14-4 and reached 4 games on the morning of Day 4 with a 10-9 squeaker over the Akwesasne Bucks of the Can-Am Lacrosse League.
The season-long string of victories came to an end the evening of Day 4 when the lads fell to the host Edmonton Miners 11-6, which was followed by a 13-13 draw with the Snake Island Muskies of the Three Nations Senior Lacrosse League on Day 5  to close out the round-robin.

With a record of 4-1-1, the Pioneers finished in second place and now face the third place Six Nations Rivermen in the semifinals Friday, September 2 at 3:00pm PDT. Check the tournament website for details.
