Pioneers take Game 1 of Final

Defending champion Ladner Pioneers won Game 1 of the best-of-3 league final by a score of 20-3 over the Shamrocks Saturday afternoon in Victoria. Ladner came out flying and built an 11-1 lead heading into the first intermission and an 18-2 advantage after 40 minutes. Tyler Pace (3G, 6A), James Rahe (3G, 5A) led the attack, with Alex Turner hitting the twine 4 times. Christian Del Bianca stopped 21 of 24 shots for his 3rd win of the postseason.

Game 2 is set for Sunday, 3:00pm at the Ladner Leisure Centre.
