Shamrocks and Pioneers Advance to Final

Thursday night in Victoria, the Shamrocks advanced to the league final by defeating the Nanaimo Timbermen 13-3 in the fifth and deciding game in their series. Connor Leies had a huge night with 5 goals and 2 assists, and Cody Cook returned to the net, stopping 35 of 38 shots faced.

In the other semi-final Thursday evening, the Ladner Pioneers dispatched the Indians 17-7 in North Shore to advance to the final. Tyler Pace led the way with 5 goals and 3 assists, while Christian Del Bianco stopped 21 of 28 shots for the win.

Game 1 of the best-of-3 league final goes Saturday, July 29th, 3:00pm at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre in Victoria, with Game 2 set the next day, 3:00pm at the Ladner Leisure Centre.
