The Shamrocks took a 2-1 series lead in the WCSLA semi-final with a 6-5 overtime win over Nanaimo Friday night in Victoria. It was a see-saw battle all game with the lead changing hands 4 times. The Timbermen’s Cody Clark sent the game to extra time with a power play tally with 2:06 left in regulation, but 1:39 in to OT, Victoria’s Tyler Mace sealed the deal for the hosts. Clark and the Shamrocks’ Adam Golia each had 3 goals, with Colin Jeffrey solid between the pipes, stopping 46 of 51 shots for his second W of the playoffs.

Game 4 goes Tuesday night in Nanaimo. Game 1 of the second semi-final is also set for that evening with Ladner hosting North Shore.
