WCSLA Season Kicks Off

The 50th season of the West Coast Senior Lacrosse Association kicked off Wednesday, May 15th when the New Westminster Salmonbellies knocked off the visiting North Shore Indians 13-8 at historic Queen’s Park Arena. Erik Forsselius led scoring with 8 points (3 goals, 5 assists), with Nate Marken chipping in 7 assists. Troy Cuzzetto stopped 33 of 41 shots in the New West net to record his first win.

Week 2 features a full slate of games, with the Timbermen hosting the Victoria Shamrocks in Nanaimo Wednesday, May 22nd, the Salmonbellies travelling to Ladner to take on the 2023 National Champion Pioneers Thursday, May 23rd at the Ladner Leisure Centre, the Indians welcoming the Pioneers to Harry Jerome Rec Centre Friday, May 24th, and wrapping up with the Shamrocks facing the ‘Bellies at Centennial Arena in White Rock Saturday, May 25th.
