Week 3 Results

Week 3 of the 2023 WCSLA season started Wednesday with a pair of games. The Victoria Shamrocks hosted the Nanaimo Timbermen at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre and came away with and 8-5 victory. Tyler Mace (2G, 3A) and Adam Golia (1G, 4A) led scorers, with Cody Cook turning aside 34 of 39 shots for his second win of the season.

The New Westminster Salmonbellies had their home opener at Queen's Park Arena spoiled by the North Shore Indians, who left with an 8-6 result. Alex Dozzi had 2 goals and 1 assist, while veteran goalkeeper Cam Janzen stopped 29 of 35 shots for his first win in 2023.

Friday night on the North Shore, the visiting Ladner Pioneers notched their first win of the season by a convincing score of 19-2 over the Indians. Tyler Pace led the way with 7 points (2G, 5A), with Dylan Lacroix getting 4 goals and Matt Hills stopping 19 of 22 shots faced.

The Pioneers finished their three games on the road when they stormed into Victoria Sunday evening and came away with a 14-4 decision over the previously undefeated Shamrocks. Alex Turner led scorers with 7 points (2G, 5A), with Christian Del Bianco stopping 30 of 34 shots faced for his first win of the young season.
