Week 4 Wrap-Up

Week 4 of the 2024 WCSLA Season featured four games:

Thursday night in Ladner, the Pioneers kept their season-long unbeaten streak alive with a 17-6 win over the North Shore Indians. Tyler Pace led the way with 11 points (3G, 8A) while James Rahe hit the twine five times. Christian Del Bianco notched his 4th win of the campaign stopping 40 of 46 shots.

Saturday afternoon New Westminster travelled to Nanaimo and were overwhelmed by the Timbermen 19-1. Andrew Miller led scoring (1G, 8A) while Grady Holmes netted 4 goals. Nick Patterson returned between the T-men pipes and stopped 12 of 13 shots. The teams finished the home-and-home series Sunday when the Salmonbellies hosted a matinee match and lost 13-4. Nanaimo’s Jake Mickelson (3G,1A) led scoring and Pete Dubinski turned aside 27 of 31 shots for his second win of the season.

The final game of the weekend had the Shamrocks hosting the Pioneers in a back-and-forth affair at The Q Centre, with Ladner ending up taking an 11-9 decision to remain undefeated. Coady Adamson (3G,2A) and Mark Yingling (2G,3A) led Pioneers scoring, with Del Bianco blocking 42 of 51 shots in net.

After four weeks of play, Ladner's Tyler Pace continues to lead scoring with 41 points and assists with 29, Ladner's Dylan Lacroix leads with 14 goals, and the Pioneers' Christian Del Bianco continues to lead in save percentage (0.876) and goals against average (4.96).
