Week 5 Results

The Ladner Pioneers extended their win streak to five games after a pair of victories in Week 5. Wednesday night in New Westminster, the Pioneers took out the winless Salmonbellies 20-7. Zach Herreweyers (6G, 4A) and Tyler Pace (4G, 6A) led scoring, with Matt Hills turning aside 34 of 41 shots.

Thursday night in Ladner, the hosts handed the Indians their third loss of the season by the score of 17-5. James Rahe (3G, 4A) and Spencer Bromley (1G, 6A) led the way, with Tyler Pace pitching in 4 goals and 2 assists to take over the league lead in scoring. Christian Del Bianco had a light game, only facing 19 shots and stopping 14.

Saturday afternoon at Queen's Park Arena, the Victoria Shamrocks edged the Salmonbellies 10-9 to retain second place in the standings. New West's Kalan Mackay led scoring with 3 goals and 3 assists in a losing effort.

Week 5 wrapped up with the Nanaimo Timbermen travelling to North Shore Sunday afternoon and leaving with a 13-10 win over the Indians. Doug Langlois of the T-men (4G, 4A) led all scorers, with Jeremy Funk stopping 27 of 37 shots for his second win of the season.
