Week 7 Wrap-Up
Week 7 of the 2025 WCSLA regular season featured 6 matches.
Things kicked off Wednesday with the Timbermen visiting the Shamrocks at The Q Centre and dropping a 12-7 decision. Rylee Marsh led scoring with 1 goal and 3 assists, with Adam Bland stopping 36 of 43 shots. The late game had the Pioneers meeting the Salmonbellies at Queen's Park Arena coming away victorious by the count of 15-4. Coady Adamson (3G, 1A) and James Baker (2G, 2A) led the way while Matt Hills turned aside 18 of 22 shots.
Thursday night at Ladner Leisure Centre, reigning champion Pioneers hosted the Timbermen and handed them a second straight loss by the score of 10-1. Ladner (10-2) never trailed and outshot Nanaimo 57-35 with Alex Buque having a solid game in net, stopping 34 shots. Spencer Bromley (1G, 5A) led the attack.
Saturday evening, the Timbermen (8-4) hosted the Indians at Nanaimo Ice Centre and came out on top 13-4. Jake Michelson (1G, 4A) led scoring while Jake Colley stopped 41 of 45 shots.
Sunday afternoon had the Indians (3-6-1) meeting the Shamrocks (9-2) at The Q Centre, with the hosts coming out on top 8-7 in overtime. Brodie Wade scored the game winner and led scoring with 3 goals and 2 assists with Bland stopping 35 of 42 shots. The week wrapped up with the Salmonbellies (0-12-1) travelling to the Poirier Sport & Leisure Complex to face the Bandits (5-8) with Coquitlam winning the game 22-6 and outshooting the guests 102-42. Marcelo Mannarino led scoring (2G, 6A) with Connor Nichols and Cody Gilliam combining to stop 36 shots.
After seven weeks of play, Victoria's Rylee Marsh leads with 41 assists and 51 points, while Victoria's Jackson Boyd leads with 28 goals. Ladner's Alex Busque continues to lead in save percentage (0.904) and goals against average (4.50).
