Week 8 Wrap-Up

Week 8 of the 2026 West Coast Senior Lacrosse Association season had a pair of matches, starting Friday July 3rd when the North Shore Indians trounced the New Westminster Salmonbellies 17-1 at Harry Jerome Rec Centre. The Indians led 6-0 at the first intermission and 16-1 at the second intermission and were led by Brandon Woodward who had 4 goals and 2 assists. Owen Joseph and Ryan Dowie shared goaltending duties and stopped 16 of 17 shots.

Sunday July 5th, the Indians hosted the Nanaimo Timbermen and improved to 9-3-0 on the season with a 12-5 victory. The Timbermen, who dropped to 3-6-0, opened the scoring when Andrew Miller tallied just over a minute in and led 2-1 at the six minute mark before North Shore rallied with a pair of Jacob Dunbar goals and never trailed from that point forward. Dunbar finished with 6 goals and 2 assists to lead all scorers, while Joseph went the distance in net stopping 30 of 35 shots faced.
